A typical 1:64 diecast car is about 68 × 28 mm. Across the models people actually collect, the range runs from roughly 62 mm for a compact hot hatch to about 75 mm for modern American muscle. Below is the figure for 17 popular cars, sorted longest to shortest, with the method used to get there.
Method
Every figure here is the real car's published length divided by 64. That is what 1:64 means — a ratio, not a fixed size — so a compact hatch and a long muscle car come out at different lengths.
These are calculated figures, not caliper measurements of specific castings. Manufacturers are not perfectly to scale, and most models land within a few millimetres of the number below. Aero kits, widebody arches and tall wings all add to the silhouette beyond the body length. Measure your own car if you need certainty; it takes thirty seconds with a ruler.

How to check any car, not just these
Three numbers, thirty seconds with a ruler:
- Length — front lip to rear diffuser, including any overhang.
- Width — at the widest arch, not the door skin. Widebody kits change this substantially.
- Height — wheels to the very top of any wing or roof box, not to the roofline.
Compare those to the case's internal chamber, never its outer box size. The walls, base and frame eat into the outer figure, and this single mistake accounts for most cases that arrive and do not work.
