Infinity Garage — Setup, Mounting & Light Help

Everything about setting up, mounting, lighting and charging the Infinity Garage 2nd Gen. Answers first. Where a figure is not published, this page says so instead of guessing — email support@keypitdesign.com and we will confirm it.

Setup — four steps

  1. Charge it first. USB-C, 5V only. Use the included cable — fast chargers will not charge it, by design.
  2. Open the front. Peel the protective film off all four mirror panels, handling them by the edges. Lift off the magnetic logo plate, then unclip the front panel from the right edge, from below. The right side panel slides straight out.
  3. Mount your car. The frosted plinth lifts out whole, so you fix the car in your hand, not inside the case. If the car has a screw hole, use its own screw through the slot. If not, use a 3M car pad — thick or thin, to suit your car's ride height. To swap cars, twist the car off; never pull.
  4. Close and power on. Refit the plinth, the panel and the logo plate. Press the button next to the USB-C port. From then on, motion lights it for about 20 seconds.

Mounting

How does it go on the wall?

Fix the wall plate with the hook pointing down. Smooth wall: peel the 3M wall pad and press on. Uneven or painted wall (the stronger option): drill two holes, tap in the anchors and drive the two screws through the plate. Then slide the case straight down onto the plate.

Where should it go?

Somewhere you walk up to — the sensor is tuned to wake when you approach, not when someone passes across the room.

The light and the sensor

It turned itself off. Is it broken?

No. It switches off after about 20 seconds by design.

It won't light up.

First check it is switched on (button next to the USB-C port) and charged — a flat battery looks exactly like a dead sensor. Then approach it from the front. If it still does not light, email support@keypitdesign.com.

Will the light fade my car?

No. The LED is UV-free certified, 4000K and 90+ CRI — whites stay white, silvers stay silver, and the light itself will not fade paint or tampos.

Power and charging

How long does a charge last?

Up to about two weeks at around ten triggers a day. Real runtime depends on how often it is triggered.

Does it need to stay plugged in?

No. Charge it, unplug it, and there is no cable across your wall.

Fit, care and spare parts

What fits?

One 1:64 car up to 100 mm long, including cars with a tall wing. Compare against the internal chamber (120 × 75 × 65 mm), not the outer box. Per-car measurements are in the size guide.

How do I clean it?

Microfibre cloth only. No alcohol, ammonia glass cleaner or paper towels — they craze acrylic or leave micro-scratches in the mirror coating.

A lens is scratched. Can I replace it?

Yes — spare lens sets (one front + one side lens per set) are sold as Double the Lifespan.
