Short answer: connect the hose, attach a nozzle, fill the tank with 9 ml of KP Design fog fluid, wait 5–10 minutes for the wick to absorb it, install the filter wide-side down, set both switches OFF before plugging in, then LED → FOG → FAN. Vapor begins 15–30 seconds after the FOG switch goes up.

Setup steps

  1. Connect tube. Push the silicone hose all the way into the smoke port. A hose that is not fully seated leaks fog before it reaches the chamber.
  2. Attach nozzle. Choose one of the three nozzles, connect it to the tube, then connect it to the unit.
  3. Fill fog fluid. Attach the curved needle to the syringe, open the oil plug, draw 9 ml minimum, and inject into the tank without spills.
  4. Wait 5–10 minutes so the cotton wick absorbs the oil. Do not skip this — firing the fogger with a dry wick is what damages the heating element.
  5. Install filter, wide side down. The filter is a trapezoid, so orientation matters.
  6. Power on. Switches DOWN (off) → plug into the unit → adapter to outlet.
  7. Open & place car. Lift the clear lid and set your car (up to 75 mm) on the chamber floor.
  8. Operate. LED switch up for the chamber light. FOG switch up for the fog generator — vapor begins in 15–30 seconds. FAN knob rotates clockwise to increase wind speed.

Fog is produced but does not flow across the car? Adjust the FAN knob — FOG sets how much vapor is produced, FAN sets how it moves through the chamber. A fine-tuning screwdriver is included for finer adjustment.

Will my car fit?

The test chamber is 134 × 54 × 33 mm. Any car under 75 mm long fits.

Fits: Hot Wheels (basic and premium), Mini GT, Tarmac Works, Greenlight, M2, Matchbox, and most 1:64 JDM diecast.

Does not fit: long-bed pickups, oversized SUVs, and anything in 1:43, 1:24 or 1:18 scale.

Which fog fluid can I use?

Only KP Design WindChaser fog fluid. It is pH 7.0 neutral so it will not react with paint, decals or chrome, it leaves zero residue, and it uses FDA GRAS-rated ingredients — USP pharma-grade propylene glycol, food-grade vegetable glycerin, and lab-purified distilled water. It was formulated to be safe to mist directly onto a chase car. A 60 ml bottle gives months of runtime.

Do not substitute mineral oil or e-cigarette liquids. They will damage the heating element and are not covered by warranty.

Is the fog safe for my diecast?

Yes. At pH 7.0 it is chemically neutral toward paint, decals and chrome, and it evaporates without leaving residue on the model. That neutrality is the reason not to substitute other fluids — oil-based and e-liquid formulations can leave films on paint and tampos.
